HOTEL BALSA / FERRYBOAT HOTEL, 2010

A instalação compreendia uma plataforma móvel que se deslocava sobre trilhos, e objetos dispostos em duas paredes, ordenados de modo preciso, para que ficassem exatamente frente a frente, uns em relação aos outros.
Numa das paredes, 51 espelhos retangulares foram dispostos de modo a compor, ainda que fragmentariamente, as letras da palavra H-O-T-E-L. Na outra parede, em face da primeira, 51 caixas de luz foram ordenadas, obedecendo exatamente à mesma disposição, de modo que os objetos, em interação e reciprocidade, reproduzissem uns aos outros: uns iluminando, outros refletindo. Todos juntos, compunham e decompunham o espaço.
No centro do ambiente, a plataforma móvel sobre trilhos, na realidade uma espécie de balsa movida por um motor, deslocava-se ao longo do eixo principal da galeria, transportando os visitantes.[CG]

The installation consisted of a mobile platform that moved on rails and objects arranged on two walls, precisely arranged so that they were exactly face-to-face, relative to each other.
On one of the walls, 51 rectangular mirrors were arranged to compose, although in a fragmented alignment, the letters of the word H-O-T-E-L. On the other wall, in front of the first, 51 boxes of light were ordered, obeying exactly the same arrangement, so that the objects, in interaction and reciprocity, reproduced one another: some illuminating, others reflecting. All together, they composed and decomposed the space.
In the center of the environment, the movable platform on rails, in fact a kind of motor-driven raft, moved along the main axis of the gallery, carrying the visitors.[CG]
